Nissan will launch its premium sports utility vehicle—Terrano—in India in the current financial year, the Japanese auto major said on Tuesday, while revealing the name and sketches of the new model.
Terrano will be produced at Nissan's Oragadam plant alongside the premium hatchback Micra, the ‘Sunny’ sedan and the Evalia urban class utility vehicle, expanding Nissan's locally-built model range to four, the company said in a statement.
“…Terrano has a bold and distinctive design that I am confident will appeal to our growing customer base in India, as will its driving performance and range of other features that will be revealed at a later date,” Nissan Motor India President and CEO Kenichiro Yomura said.
