Fuelled by strong deal wins and a growth in its digital business, mid-tier IT services company Mindtree witnessed a growth of 15.1 per cent in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015.
The net profit of the company stood at Rs.158.2 crore for the July-September quarter. Total revenue stood at Rs.1,169.30 crore registering a growth of 31.6 per cent when compared to the same period last year.
In dollar terms, the revenue of the city-based company was $180.3 million, up 22.6 per cent when compared to the corresponding quarter last year.
The net profit stood at $24.3 million up 6.8 per cent as against the same period last year. “Our recent strong deal wins and strategic acquisitions will fuel growth and enhance our leadership in the digital space,” said Krishnakumar Natarajan, Chief Executive and Managing Director, Mindtree.
“At the end of September 30, 2015, Mindtree had 296 active clients and 15,582 employees. In the quarter, on a gross basis added 1,801 employees and the attrition for trailing 12 months was 17.1 per cent.
