Chairman of Muthoot Group dies after fall

Police said that his medico legal report has been collected and the spot has also been visited by the crime team.

Muthoot Group Chairman M.G. George died after a fall in his fourth floor residence in South East Delhi's Amar Colony area on Friday night, police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) R.P. Meena said they had received the information at 9:21 p.m. from a private hospital regarding admission of Mr. George, a resident of East of Kailash, after suffering a fall. He was declared brought dead, police said.

Police said that his medico legal report has been collected and the spot has also been visited by the crime team.

“Enquiry is being conducted into the matter and statements have been recorded. CCTV cameras are also being checked,” Mr. Meena said.

Police said after the fall, the financier was taken to a private hospital where he was declared dead and his post mortem has been conducted at AIIMS. “No foul play is suspected and inquest proceedings have been initiated,” the officer said.
