Mercedes-Benz has created a new segment in India by introducing the V-Class, a luxury multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
The V-Class expression starts with a price tag of ₹68.4 lakh and the V-Class exclusive ₹81.9 lakh, both ex-showroom India.
The vehicle is available in two body styles: the long wheelbase with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm and length of 5,140 mm and the extra-long wheelbase with wheelbase of 3,430 mm and length of 5,370 mm.
Martin Schwenk, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said: “The launch of the V-Class in India underscores our pioneering spirit as we introduce the luxury multi-purpose vehicle segment for our discerning customers.”
The V-Class is powered by a 2143 cc diesel engine and available in six- and seven-seat configuration.
In 2019, Mercedes-Benz India plans to introduce 10 products to maintain its market share and lead in the market.
