Lamborghini launches Huracan EVO Spyder at ₹4.1 crore

Super luxury sports car manufacturer Lamborghini has introduced Huracan EVO Spyder in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹4.1 crore. The company on Thursday also opened a new showroom in Mumbai.

This open top car has joined its coupe counterpart Huracan EVO which was launched earlier this year.

With a dry weight of 1542 kgs, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km in 3.1 seconds and 0 to 200 km in 9.3 seconds. Breaking from 100 km per hour to 0 is achieved in 32.2 meters.

“The Huracan has received a positive response from the India market since we announced the launch earlier this year. We have seen an increase in the number of supercar aficionados in India which reflects the demand of the Lamborghini range,” said Sharad Agarwal, Head, Lamborghini India.

He said the company has not been impacted by the slowdown as the customers was different. The market size of this segment with cars priced over ₹2.5 crore each is about 300 cars a year.

Last year the company started delivering Urus, the super SUV which has been accepted well in this market. In one year of its launch the company has sold 50 units of Urus indicating its popularity, Mr Agarwal said.

He said last year the company sold 45 cars and this year the target is to sell close to 60 cars.
