Jet Airways has launched FAST-TRACK, a premium express cargo service on its domestic network for customers needing urgent shipment of air cargo in a defined timeframe.
This new offering from Jet Airways Cargo will provide priority access to capacity, later bookings and guaranteed uplift with a money-back guarantee in case of non-delivery of service, the airline said.
“With our extensive domestic network, Jet Airways is focused on delivering greater value to our customers by providing customised solutions aimed at swift and reliable transport of cargo,” Raj Sivakumar, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways, said.
FAST-TRACK has expedited tender time of 120 minutes, retrieval time of 90 minutes, premium boarding priority and round-the-clock real-time tracking. This facility will be rolled out on the airline’s international network soon.
Items such as dangerous goods, valuables, human remains, live animals, perishables and other commodities, requiring special handling, are not permitted under this offer. This service is also not valid on Jet Airways’ flights to/from Lucknow and Patna, as also flights and routes operated by ATR aircraft.
The FAST-TRACK service is part of Jet Airways’ major plans to enhance revenue from air cargo operations. In March, the airline had announced plans to launch dedicated freighter operations from April but is still awaiting regulatory approvals.
The freighter services will be operated by an A330-200F aircraft to be wet-leased from Etihad Airways for which the agreement has been signed. Having its operating base in New Delhi, the freighter services will be operated to international and domestic destinations such as Bengaluru, Hong Kong, Hanoi and Singapore.
