Infosys to hire 20,000 freshers

Infosys on Monday said it was planning to hire around 20,000 from various campuses in the country. The company’s fresh campus hire plan for the year is in line with what it had done last year.

Detailing the campus recruitment plans, U. B. Pravin Rao, COO, Infosys said: “This number would be similar number what we have done last year.”

Further the company said, it would increase the number of interns it hires every year and also has increased the stipend for interns from Rs.4,000 to Rs.10,000.

“We want to hire more people as interns and want them to continue to be part of us. We believe that the increase in stipend will also help them to have a long term career with us,” added Mr. Rao.

For the fresh campus hires, the company provides a training of 5-6 months and gives an annual salary package of Rs.3.25 lakh.
