Infosys appoints Nilanjan Roy as CFO

Mr. Roy joins Infosys from Bharti Airtel where he holds the position of global chief financial officer.

Infosys on Thursday announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Nilanjan Roy as the chief financial officer (CFO) of the company, effective March 1, 2019.

Mr. Roy has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from the University of Delhi and is a Chartered Accountant. He joins Infosys from Bharti Airtel where he holds the position of global chief financial officer. Mr. Roy has spent the last 13 years with Bharti Airtel, prior to which he worked for 15 years with consumer goods company Unilever across their global operations.

“We are delighted to announce that Nilanjan [Roy] will join Infosys as our CFO. He comes to us with extensive and rich global experience,” said Salil Parekh, CEO and MD, Infosys.

The IT-services firm in November announced the appointment of Jayesh Sanghrajka as the interim CFO and key managerial personnel of the company with effect from November 17, 2018. It had said that CFO M.D. Ranganath will step down on November 16, 2018. Mr. Sanghrajka will now resume his responsibilities as deputy CFO, effective March 1, 2019.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation to Jayesh Sanghrajka for taking charge as interim CFO and thank him for ably executing this very important responsibility,” said Mr. Parekh.
