Two-wheeler major Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday launched six products for the Indian market, including a new two-wheeler, Navi, which is designed and developed in India.

The Navi is priced at Rs. 39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is expected to be available from March-April onwards.

“Honda met a total of 17.19 million two-wheeler customers across the globe last year. India, with its fast growing economy, is the largest two-wheeler market in the world and our Indian operation became largest contributor to Honda’s global production in 2015,” Takahiro Hachigo, president, CEO and representative director Honda Motor Co. Ltd. said.

Keita Muramatsu, president and CEO, HMSI, said 2016 will be a historic year for Honda. “Led by increased capacity with fourth plant, we will cross the threshold of 5 million two-wheeler sales in India for the first time. More importantly, we are confident that Honda’s six new models, led by Navi, will reinvent two-wheeler mobility in India.”

Apart from the Navi, HMSI will launch five other models, including refreshed motorcycles of CB Unicorn 160, Dream Neo, CD 110 Dream Deluxe (self-start) and Dio with premium a 3D logo.

It will also launch second CKD model — CRF1000L Africa Twin. Its first CKD model was the CBR 650F.
