Govt. seeks inputs from public on Rail Budget

Suggestions can be given online till January 15

The Ministry of Railways has invited suggestions from the public for its forthcoming Budget 2016-17 on its website, for the first time.

The Union government has sought “innovate ideas” on diverse areas including train safety, disaster management, high speed corridors, tourism and catering.

The suggestions can be given online on the Ministry of Railways (Railways Board) website (http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/railwayboard) till January 15, 2016, an official statement from the Ministry said.

The suggestions can be given on 15 aspects which include computerisation, electrical, electrification of lines, finance, foot-over bridges, freight and infrastructure.
