Mahesh Venkateswaran, head of Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp’s social, mobile, analytics and cloud (SMAC) businesses, has quit. He will pursue other career opportunities.

A Cognizant spokesperson confirmed the development. “During his nearly 18 years at Cognizant, Mahesh successfully incubated and grown a number of our practices. Most recently, he was the Executive Vice-President of our social mobile, analytics and cloud (SMAC) businesses. We wish him good luck in his future endeavours,” the spokesperson added in an email response.

The company’s SMAC business generates an annual revenue of around $500 million.

The development comes week after Cognizant cut its full year revenue growth forecast to 14 per cent from 16.5 per cent.
