Ashok Leyland has reported a net profit of Rs.32 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014, against a net loss of Rs.167 crore in a year-ago period.
The profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items stood at Rs.138 crore against a net loss of Rs.185 crore.
Net sales grew 73 per cent to Rs.3,291 crore from Rs.1,903 crore.
“This marks a significant turnaround for the company. We are today reasonably confident that the domestic market is indeed coming back and that the worst may be behind us.
“We believe this growth momentum will continue and we should close this fiscal on a good note,” Vinod K. Dasari, Managing Director.
