Tata firms, Uber pact to help drivers buy cars

Tata group has announced a partnership with Uber Technologies for providing an integrated solution to drivers of the app-based taxi hailing service provider desirous of purchasing cars. A pan-India programme, rolled out from Hyderabad, the pact offers access to flexible and customised financing solution from Tata Capital Financial Services and Tata Motors Finance for them to purchase Tata cars such as Indica and Indigo. ‘Affordable insurance’ from Tata AIG is another component of the programme that seeks to benefit 20,000 drivers in the next one year.
