American coffee retail giant Starbucks on Tuesday announced its ninth store in the country, which will be opened in South Delhi.
Tata Starbucks Ltd is a 50:50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages Ltd.
“Our customers in New Delhi have extended a very warm welcome to us and we are thrilled to open our second store in the city,” Tata Starbucks Ltd CEO Avani Davda said.
The new outlet is located at Select City Walk Mall and will be open for customers from March 28, the company said in a statement.
It is spread over 2000 sq ft and has seating capacity of over 70 people, it added.
Starbucks had entered the Indian market in October 2012 and operates five stores in Mumbai and four in New Delhi.
The company plans to open 50 outlets in India this year.
