Panasonic eyes Rs.100 cr revenue from rugged PCs

Japanese technology major Panasonic is eyeing revenues of Rs.100 crore from the rugged PC segment in the India in the next two years on the back of increasing demand from the government sector. Rugged PC segment in India is currently pegged at about Rs.100-110 crore in value terms, of which Panasonic says it has a 60 per cent share.

“We have seen a growth of 30 per cent in this segment, surpassing the industry growth of 20 per cent. We expect to grow at this pace and see the segment contributing about Rs.100 crore to our revenues by March 2018,” Panasonic Senior GM and National Business Head Gunjan Sachdev said.
