Mitsubishi to roll out elevators from new plant by year-end

Mitsubishi Elevator India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, will roll out its first elevator, targeted at mid-rise buildings, from its newly-established facility in Karnataka by end December, a company official said.

Investment

“We have invested Rs.183 crore in this plant at Vemgal near Bengaluru that would produce 5,000 units in the first phase,” said Iwao Oda, Managing Director, Mitsubishi Elevator India Pvt. Ltd.

Capacity expansion

“We have the space and capability to double production capacity. “We will produce Nexien-Lite elevator model targeting low- to mid-rise buildings in the commercial, office, mall and residential segments,” he said.
