Barclays launches NRI Dual Account for Indian students in UK

Foreign lender, Barclays Bank on Wednesday launched Barclays NRI Dual Account, enabling Indian students studying in UK to avail a host of banking services.

This will enable Indian students to get access to an international students account in UK and an NRE savings account in India at the same time, the bank said in a press release.

The key-features of the scheme include a zero balance NRI savings account, higher cash withdrawal and point of sale limits of Rs. 50,000 and a free online or branch-based money transfer from UK to India.

Students can also avail free international ATM cum debit card, which will have access to over 1,700 branches and 3000 ATMs across the UK, the bank said.

Barclays has operations in over 50 countries and has around 4.9 crore clients globally.
