After having captured the attention of teaching professionals in more than 2000 cities, towns and villages across India and in Dubai, Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) is back with its international-level initiative for school teachers.

Teaching Professionals’ Olympiad (TPO) is a national competition in the format of a multiple-choice objective test that is still highly practice-oriented. TPO rewards, recognizes and, most of all, celebrates teachers, driving a much-needed tangible motivation for the teaching profession.

TPO 2018 will be held on December 8 in 45 cities in India and at CENTA’s international centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. For the fourth year in a row, TPO 2018 is presented by The Hindu and has associate partners like Oxford University Press and Central Square Foundation.

“CENTA TPO is bringing honour back to the teaching profession,” says Nandini Shah, TPO 2017’s National Subject Topper of Middle School English and Challenger tracks. The teacher from Oberoi International School Mumbai won a two-week Master Class at Oxford University UK, Rs 1 lakh cash award and sponsorship to attend the world’s biggest education conference, Global Education & Skills Forum in Dubai!

Winners this year can look forward to similar prizes that are not only coveted but also highly relevant. “Every teacher should take the TPO because it helps you know where you stand at a national level. After TPO, I am now more enthusiastic about developing my skills,” says Elavarasi Raja, TPO 2017’s National Subject Topper for Tamil Primary track from Panchayat Union Primary School, Chengalpattu.

TPO is relevant for school teachers, principals, coordinators, supplemental teachers, B.Ed./D.Ed. students, professional fellows in Education and anyone wanting to understand the profession.

CENTA creates exciting careers for teachers and catalyzes their professional development through CENTA Certification, Micro-Credentials and Teaching Professionals' Olympiad. TPO winners also get partial scholarships to pursue the CENTA Certification.
