‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ coming soon as a Netflix series

One of the most celebrated novels of the 20th century is coming to Netflix.

The streamer says it has bought the rights to Gabriel Garcia Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude .

Netflix says it will adapt the 1967 book into a Spanish language series with most of the filming taking place in Colombia. Garcia Marquez's sons Rodrigo Garcia and Gonzalo Garcia Barcha will serve as executive producers.
