Chetan Bhagat is pushing his books in regional languages. He personally launched the Tamil translation of 'The Girl in Room 105' in Chennai recently. Grand launches for the Malayalam, Marathi and Hindi translations are up next.
"All other languages that have a market" will follow, he said. His books were translated in these languages before, but with no fanfare. Chetan Bhagat wants to give them as much publicity as his English versions as he believes he has a strong base with vernacular readers.
Local languages also work well with his colloquial dialogues, he feels.
