The collection of six essays — which grew out of an essay,  Does anyone have the right to sex?,  that she published in the  London Review of Books  in 2018 — attempts to break down the politics of desire, discusses the pitfalls of pornography, asks questions about whether one has the right to sex in a world where the personal is political, and more.

Srinivasan discusses a few of these topics in her  interview with  The Hindu Weekend .
