Trunk full of treasures

Taj Coromandel presents Trunk Show on September 26, from 12 noon to 9 p.m. On display at Khazana, the in-house lifestyle store at the hotel, is a melange of silks, georgette, cotton, blends, linen and natural-dyed fabrics.

Specialists in handwoven fabrics, Karigar Weaves presents saris, dupattas and fabrics in fine count cotton. The collection includes cotton-silk Maheshwari and Tussar silk.

The Kishmish brand is all about comfortable yet stylish clothing in handwoven and block printed cotton, silk and linen. Pracheen will feature salwar kameezes in dyed silk fabrics.

Renowned textile designer Meera Mehta’s collection will feature her famous Paithani saris — intricately woven with pure silk and gold belonging to a tradition more than 2,000 years old. Her collection will also include ikat saris and Tussar silks inlaid with gold.

Varanasi Weavers will showcase all types of Benarasi saris with designs ranging from traditional to ultra-modern.

Raj Rajeshwari features elegant saris in georgette, chiffon and kora cotton.

a. myrah’s collection will showcase a range of fine fabrics,, both handwoven and machine made.

Usha Shah’s jewellery line is known for its use of unusual material such as meteorites, fossilised wood, shells, pebbles, lava, driftwood and rough diamonds.

Ravissant specialises in novelty items ranging from metalwork, crystals, bird and lotus collections to enamelled boxes, candle stands, vases and curios.
