A portrait of the leading NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul, drawn by renowned British artist Michael Noakes, was unveiled at the University of Westminster in central London on Monday.

Lord Paul, who is also Chancellor of the University, unveiled it in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Geoff Petts; the former president of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Maneck Dalal; Chairman of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, London, Joginder Sanger; and M. Subashini, Minister, Press and Information in the Indian High Commission.

Describing it as a “lovely portrait,” Lord Paul expressed his gratitude to the painter Noakes.

“He is a very well-known and distinguished artist and it was a pleasure for me to be painted by him. He is also a very amusing person and kept me entertained during our sittings. I would like to thank him for the time and effort he put into producing the lovely portrait.”
