From the Archives: The Aligarh College Trouble.

The committee of enquiry delivered its report on Monday evening [September 23] in Aligarh before a record number of trustees. Their decision was that Professor Krall’s resignation be accepted and that Mr. Towls, Principal, and Miss Beck, be asked to reconsider their resignations. The report is silent about other resignations. The Hon’ble Nawab Morarmil Ullahkhan, ex-Joint Hony Secretary and the present Vice President of the Board of Trustees, has tendered his resignation from trusteeship owing to some differences of opinion having occurred in the meeting.
