The further hearing [in Damoh] of the case started against Mr. Narayana Rao Vaidya, Secretary, Home Rule League, Central Provinces under section 124A and the India Defence Act was resumed on the 2nd when the second prosecution witness Mohamed Ashrafali, Circle Inspector, Police, who is alleged to have taken notes of Mr. Narayana Rao’s speech and made a report resulting in his prosecution was cross-examined by Dadasaheb Karandekar. His cross-examination beginning at 12 did not finish until the court rose at 6 p.m., which will be again taken up tomorrow.
