Ayurvedic deputation.

A public meeting was held last evening [November 15, Delhi] to give farewell to the premier Ayurvedic physician of Calcutta, Vaidyaratna Kaviraj Jogindranath Sen, and other physicians who came to Delhi in connection with the Ayurvedic deputation. Kaviraj Pundit Nibaran Chandra of Delhi eulogised the services of Vaidyaratna Kaviraj Jogindranath to the cause of Ayurveda. Babu Hardeopershed dwelt on the many qualities of head and heart of the illustrious Kaviraj and thanked Vaidyaratna Jogindranath on behalf of the citizens of Delhi for the kindness he showed to them by waiting for a few days in Delhi in order to visit the numerous patients of the city even after the Ayurvedic deputation was over. The Kaviraj was then garlanded amidst loud cheers. Vaidyaratna Kaviraj Jogindranath in reply alluded to the generosity of the Delhi public in giving him and other Kavirajas such a hearty reception and urged them to work in the cause of the ancient medical science. Vaidyaratna Kaviraj Jogindranath Sen left Delhi last night with Kaviraj Jnanendranath Sen and Pundit Sudhindranath Sen who had gone on a professional call to Meerut. There was large gathering at the railway station to see the party off. At the invitation of the Hon. Rai Bahadur Lala Bissumbhuranth and other Cawnpore friends Vaidyaratna Kaviraj Jogindranath will break journey at Cawnpore to see patients there and thence proceed to Calcutta.
