Several stampede victims admitted at KEM Hospital, Mumbai, were evaluated by a team of psychiatrists. Many were found to be suffering from acute stress reaction. The above statement was from one such victim, Pradnya Bagwe (48), who took the footoverbridge on the ill-fated day.

Mental scars of victims will take time to heal, say doctors who are treating Mumbai stampede victims.
