Abhinav Public School, CU Block, Pitampura, New Delhi, celebrated Animal Day recently. The children of the nursery wing came dressed as different animals. They spoke about the animals’ behaviour they represented, usefulness of nature, their contribution to ecology and their importance in our lives. Anant from nursery section and Garv from pre-nursery received first prize from the principal of the school.
The school, on another day, also arranged an excursion to the Gurudwara in Nanak Piyau town in north Delhi for the students. The visit was aimed at exposing the student to the Sikh religion, their prayers, the holy book Guru Grant Sahib and langer of prasada. The children were also made to listen to the discourse given by gyani ji at the premises of the gurudwara.
