Kola Saraswathi Vaishnav S.S. School
The investiture ceremony of Kola Saraswathi Vaishnav S.S. School was held recently. It began with a prayer. The school principal, S. Athmanathan, welcomed the students. The chief guest was Ashwin K. Shah. Giri Shankar is the school pupil leader and Narendran the assistant school pupil leader.
Viswanath Mehta is the general secretary and Thanvi the secretary for discipline. The chief guest in his address stressed on the importance of discipline in one’s life. The general secretary proposed a vote of thanks.
The literary activities of the school was inaugurated recently.
The chief guest was Dr. Lakshmi Narayanan, HOD, Tamil, writer and educationist from D.G. Vaishnav College.
There was a variety entertainment. S. Athmanathan welcomed the gathering. The programme ended with a vote of thanks in Sanskrit followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
World Environment Day was organised recently combined with the inauguration of the Karuna Club. The club was inaugurated by chief guest Dulichand Jain, the national president of Karuna International. Appandai Raj, co-ordinator, was also present.
The programme started with a Karuna player followed by the welcome speech by the principal.
Three students — Aishwarya, X A, N. Haritha, X B, and Vaibhav Agarwal, VIII A, spoke about compassion in English, Tamil and Hindi respectively. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by V. Lalitha.
