Students planted saplings of various shade-giving and fruit-bearing species at the school premises. Teachers and students planted the saplings. The Principal, Padmavathy, administered a pledge on environmental protection to the students on the occasion. The state co-ordinator of the society, P. Selvendran, the district honorary secretary of the society, I. Cicil Ignatius, and the district co-ordinator of the society, P. Lamuriya, were among those who spoke.
