St. John’s International Residential School, Palanjur
About 400 commerce students of Stds. XI and XII from 20 city schools experienced a different learning outcome when they participated in the two–day city level inter-school Commerce festival, organised by St. John’s International Residential School, Palanjur. The impact of media was obvious and students interpretation was superior when they debated on topics like “Who is responsible for bribery”. Are BPOs eroding Indian culture in “The Bight Fight” Event. The advertisement sector came alive on Brand Age Event.
Students were fortunate to interact with business brains and to listen to their lectures on topics which are of prime concern. Inaugurating SJIRS – Business League, Commerce Based Scholastic Programme Ujagar Singh, I.A.S., Commissioner, Govt. Data Centre, Finance Department, Govt. of Tamil Nadu said that the choice of language is not important in communication but it is the power of communication that matters. V. Ranganathan, Sr.Vice President, (South Zone), Axis Bank Ltd. spoke about the “Global Meltdown and Indian Economy”.
