Bold presentation
|
An art exhibition that brought out the beauty of the city and the country.
|
Great work: At the exhibition
Perched on the hills of the
Eastern Ghats, the Kailasa
Parvati statues reminded
one of the scenic
Kailasagiri Hills. Be it the rustic
lifestyle of the tribal belts of
the region or the hardships of
the fishermen community, the
essence of Vizag bloomed
beautifully on the white canvas
sheets.
Themes
Nearly 30 students from
Stds. I to X of Nalanda Talent
School gave vent to their imagination
and brought out bold
and creative images during the
art contest held at VUDA Children's
Theatre recently.
The topics for the contest
were Vizag city, nature, education,
Indian festivals and freedom
fighters.
The students worked on different
mediums like pencil
shading, ink drawing, poster
painting, oil pastel work, collage
work, glass painting, overlaps
techniques and abstract
art. The students were given
training in the different styles
of art in the school.
"The event was organised to
encourage the competitive
spirit of the students, harness
the creative talents and prepare
them for a professional
career in art," vice-principal G.
Siva Prasad said.
