From the Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
This is the time of the year when parents insist, go have some fun. But do you know where to find this elusive commodity in the scorching heat? One option is three hours of unalloyed enjoyment in a theatre near you.Promising an international quality in animation, Gadda says, “The movie is made with a universal appeal for global viewers and will have an International English dub track.”
Fantasy rules
To start with there is “Bhootnath”. Starring Amitabh Bachchan as the ghost, who appears in the life of a naughty boy played by 11-year-old Aman Siddiqui. “The story is about how this boy makes friends with a ghost and the two start sharing a grandfather-grandson kind of relationship,” says Ravi Chopra, the producer of the film. He says the film is not propagating superstition in any way.
“However, the biggest film of the season in terms of its universal appeal and budget is “The Chronicles of Narnia — Prince Caspian”. Also scheduled for release is “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe”. It is based on “Prince Caspian” the second of the series of fantasy novels “The Chronicles of Narnia” by C.S. Lewis. Here the four Pevensie children return to Narnia to aid a young Prince Caspian played by Ben Barnes in his struggle for the throne against his corrupt uncle King Miraz.
The excitement will continue in June when the desi avatar of Harry Potter called Hari Puttar will come to entertain you. Called “Hari Puttar – A Comedy of Terrors”, the film has child stars Zain Khan and Sweeny Khara in the lead roles.
The film is embellished with animation sequences, as an animated character Funtoon is the anchor of the film who will take us through the adventures of Hari Puttar in London.
Towards the end of the holidays, another animation film “WALL.E” will hit the screens. WALL.E is a robot and is short form for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth Class. Directed by Andrew Stanton who earlier helped in “Finding Nemo”. The film has an interesting premise – what if mankind had to leave Earth and somebody forgot to turn off the last robot?
This is something parents would also like to figure out.
