Sri Vani Education Centre

Students of Sri Vani Education Centre, Magadi Road, celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with great pomp and splendour. Full of enthusiasm they worked hard to ensure it was a day to remember. Clay pots filled with curd and butter were suspended high above the ground.

A few teams of children formed human pyramids to reach them and break it. Besides these, cultural programmes were also organised. Devotional songs and dances marked the day.

Students presented a dance-drama on Lord Krishna.

It depicted his childhood, youth and life as a heroic warrior and Gitopadesha. Vice-principal Karthiayani Bhat briefed the children on how to acquire knowledge through inquiry.

She also said that Lord Krishna was the embodiment of his own teachings and the Bhagavad Gita is His greatest message to mankind.

All efforts were made to give the festival a decorative look.

Elaborate poojas were held and milk products such as butter and buttermilk were distributed to the children.
