Two Maoists surrendered before the police in Malkangiri area of Odisha. Inspector General, Naxal Operation Odisha, Jaswant Singh, said that the two Maoists of Koraput-Malkangiri division, Adma Kawasi and Rama Madangi, surrendered after their top leader was killed last week. During the operation the special force had also recovered guns, bullets and other materials used by naxals from the Maoist camp. The Maoists who have surrendered said that they were being exploited in the name of tribal development. One of the Maoists said that if any one of them got even a minor job, they would be killed by Maoist leaders after being labeled as ‘police informer’. The army team “Grey Hound”, comprising police force personnel and Border Security Force (BSF) teams have surrounded the jungle from all sides since last week in their pursuit to catch Maoist leader Ram Krishna.
