The Election Commission has asked the State government not to announce the results of the recruitment tests or issue appointment orders, till the election process of the by-election to the seven Assembly constituencies is completed on March 25.
The EC order that came a day after the test was conducted all over the State on February 19 for recruitment of 1,172 village revenue officers and 6,063 village revenue assistants, was conveyed to the government for implementation by Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal.
The code came into force with effect from February 15 when the EC announced the schedule for the by-election.
