IMPHAL: Two persons from Bihar were shot dead in Thoubal and Imphal East district on Friday.
While Lalan Thakur, a barber from Patna, was shot inside his shop at Wabagai in Thoubal district, Lakshman Shah (28), who hawked bakery items, died in a hospital after being shot at Pourabi in Imphal East.
A note left in the pocket of one of the dead said whenever the security forces killed an innocent person, one migrant worker would be shot dead.
On Thursday night, two workers were shot dead in Bishnupur district. The bodies were handed over to their families on Friday after post-mortem.
Highly placed sources said a fresh advisory would be issued, asking the migrant workers in Manipur not to venture out of the city areas.
