Assembly elections in the Left-ruled Tripura ended peacefully on Thursday with more than 92 per cent voters casting their ballots.

Chief Electoral Officer Ashutosh Jindal said the percentage might still go up after reports arrive from all over the State.

The ballots will be counted on February 28 and will decide the fate of 249 candidates, including 15 women and many independents in the fray. —IANS
