Mikhail Youzhny, on Sunday, became the first Russian in almost two decades to win the Swiss Open as he defeated Robin Haase 6-3, 6-4 in the final.

Youzhny, now 5-0 over his Dutch opponent, was the first Russian since Yevgeny Kafelnikov in 1995 to lift the trophy at the mountain clay event.
