NEW DELHI: Young Friends Club rode on Mannu Kapoor’s half-century to beat Malik Sports by three wickets and enter the semifinals of East Delhi Cup cricket tournament at the DDA ground (Laxmi Nagar) here on Friday.

Malviya Club also made it to the semifinals by defeating Subhania Club by an identical margin in a thrilling match.

The scores: Malik Sports 124 for nine in 20 overs (Rajiv Rawat 28, Arshad Masih three for 10) lost to Young Friends Club 125 for seven in 16 overs (Mannu Kapoor 51, Mehraj Ahmad three for 23); Subhania Club 163 for three in 20 overs (Paras Dogra 82 n.o., Surender Kumar 32) lost to Malviya Club 165 for seven in 20 overs (Dushyant Sharma 33, Ashish Sharma 28, Pradeep Parashar four for 36).
