: The Western India Football Association has suspended Dodsal FC in response to six players from the club keeping away from the Santosh Trophy selection trials at the Cooperage to shortlist the Maharashtra team.

There was no reason given to the association for the players’ absence, according to the media release on Thursday, quoting WIFA secretary Souter Vaz.

The suspended players are Kali Allauddin, Paresh Shivalkar, N.P. Pradeep, Mohd. Rafi, Arup Debnath and Ravindra Ghosh. — Special Correspondent
