German qualifier Torsten Wietoska extended his dream run and defeated top-seed Sriram Balaji 6-4, 5-7, 7-5 in the ITF Dharwad Open quarterfinal at the DDTA courts in Dharwad on Thursday.

In a match high on power and intensity, Wietoska, ranked 1502 in the world, stunned his fancied rival Balaji, ranked 327.
