A brace by Vikram Pillai gave Air India a slender but decisive odd goal in three win over Namdhari XI in the ongoing Ozonegroup Super Division hockey league encounter at the KSHA stadium here on Tuesday.

Vikram scored in the 30th and 49th minutes of the game to put the Airmen 2-0 up before Hardeep Singh pulled one back for the Namdhari side.

Earlier, MEG flattered to deceive as it led 3-0 against a strong BPCL team at halftime. But the fancied Petroleum side bounced back to share the points with a 3-3 draw.

In another match, IOCL routed Fortis 8-3 to keep its winning streak going.

The results: MEG 3 (Monappa 15, Sagai Jayaseelan 18, Subramani 33) drew with BPCL 3 (Gurpreet Singh 38, 68, Hari Prasad 49); IOCL 8 (Gunashekar 13, 28, Roshan Minz 14, Deepak Thakur 20, Bharat Chikkara 22, 45, Vikas Sharma 48, Didar Singh 59) bt Fortis 3 (Osaf Ur Rehman 38, 40, Praveen 54); Air India 2 (Vikram Pillai 30, 49) bt Namdhari XI 1 (Hardeep Singh 60).
