BANGALORE: Both the matches in the Shafi Darashah cricket tournament here ended in a draw as overnight rain delayed the start.

At the NRA grounds, Secretary’s XI drew with Combined City’s XI. Resuming at 101 for one, Secretary’s XI made 213 for eight before declaring its innings and Combined City XI replied with 42 for three as the match petered out into a tame draw.

In the other encounter at the KSDCA (turf), KSCA President’s XI too drew with KSCA XI. President’s XI made 343. Following Amit Verma’s century on Wednesday, Yere Goud and Thilak Naidu slammed 76 each.

In reply, Robin Uthappa led the counter assault firing a blistering 79 off 77 balls which included 12 fours and a six. Raju Bhatkal chipped in with an unbeaten 54 as KSCA XI made 270 for seven.
