: Indian girls face an uphill task when they come across defending champion Malaysia in the semifinal of the Asian youth girls' netball championship at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex here on Friday.

Once the action resumes after the rest day on Thursday, Singapore plays Sri Lanka for a place in the final. Malaysia has played true to its reputation and won all its five league matches in this six-nation competition.

Singapore, the second strongest team in the fray, lost only to Malaysia and looked good on its way to the final.

Significantly, the 15 league matches spread over five days have produced expected results, thereby reflecting the marked difference in the strengths of the competing teams.
