Central Zone registered a two-wicket win over South Zone in the State under-25 inter-district cricket tournament at the KCA stadium here on Saturday.

Central Zone stumbled while chasing a modest target of 90. It lost eight wickets quickly as Midhun (four for 17) dealt crucial blows. However, it found a man in F.Aquib (32 not out) who guided it to victory.

South Zone which conceded a first innings lead of 90 fared marginally better in the second innings managing to reach 179.
