Mohammad Yousuf, Danish Kaneria and Shoaib Malik were on Wednesday excluded from the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) list of centrally contracted players for 2011.

The three players were part of last year's list, but failed to make the grade this time around because of a fall-out with the Board and National selectors, if sources are to be believed. The central contracts are awarded to a select list of players every year in three categories.

Those in Category ‘A' are paid monthly retainers of (P) Rs. 250,000. The players in Category ‘B' get Rs. 175,000, while the players in Category ‘C' get Rs. 100,000. This is besides the match fees, tour fees and other allowances and bonuses given to the players by the Board.

A PCB official made it clear that the list was approved after clearance from the Integrity Committee and National selectors.

“Kaneria and Malik have still to satisfy the Integrity Committee members about certain things while Yousuf has not played for a while. Only those players are given central contracts who are available for Pakistan,” he said. — PTI
