Guntur-based Acharya Nagarjuna University will conduct the trials to select the Indian universities athletic squad on June 5 which would take part in the Summer Universiade (world universities meet) to be held at Kazan (Russia) from July 6 to 17.

Selections for hockey (men) and shooting (men and women) will be held at Gurunanak Dev University at Amritsar while archery (men and women) will feature at Punjabi University at Patiala. University of Kolkata will hold trials for swimming (men and women).

Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is sending teams in five disciplines — athletics, swimming, shooting, archery and hockey — for this meet. — Principal Correspondent
