B. Aparajith's all-round show helped Tamil Nadu thrash Maharashtra by an innings and 70 runs with a day to spare in their C.K. Nayudu Trophy (under-22) match at IC-Gurunanak, here on Sunday.

Hyderabad resumed its first innings on 116 for four and was all out for 191 — a deficit of 381 runs — as left-arm spinner Aushik Srinivas claimed five wickets for 84. Following on, the visitor put up stiffer resistance but was dismissed for 311 as B. Aparajith's off-spin accounted for seven wickets. Aparajith had match figures of nine for 162 to go with the century he scored in the first innings. Tamil Nadu gained six points, including a bonus point, from the fixture.
