BANGALORE: Tamil Nadu took the first innings lead, scoring 123 for three wickets at close in reply to Andhra’s total of 109 on the second day of the Col. C.K. Nayudu ( South Zone) under-22 cricket tournament here on Monday.

Ganesh Satish’s 56 (112b, 6x4) and an unbeaten 42 by Sunil N. Raju helped the host Karnataka seize the first innings lead over Kerala.

The match between Hyderabad and Goa was interestingly poised. Hyderabad resuming at 168 for eight was all out for 195 and Goa replied with 112 for four wickets, before rain curtailed further play.

The scores: Andhra 109 in 39 overs (R. Suthesh four for 50) vs. Tamil Nadu 123 for three in 49 overs( Prashanth Ram Kumar 54 )

Kerala 165 in 61 overs vs. Karnataka 210 for eight in 86 overs (Ganesh Satish 56, Sunil N. Raju 42 batting).

Hyderabad 195 in 86.1 overs (Ravindra Rawat four for 36) vs. Goa 112 for four in 56 overs (Aniket Desai 49).
